Spark Aligners are custom clear aligners made by Ormco, a company with more than 60 years in orthodontics. Like other clear aligners, they’re a series of thin, removable trays that gently move your teeth step by step, with no metal brackets or wires.

Wear your aligners 20 to 22 hours a day and switch trays as directed. Weekly scans from your phone let us check progress between visits.
When your teeth are where they should be, a custom retainer keeps them there.
Treatment time depends on your goals and how closely the aligners are worn. Mild cases can be quicker; more involved cases take longer. Across clear aligners, many of our patients finish in about 12 to 18 months, and weekly monitoring helps keep your case on track. Dr. Sharp will give you a personalized estimate after your 3D scan.

Yes, when they’re worn as directed and the case is a good fit. Aligners can address crowding, spacing and many bite concerns. Dr. Sharp will tell you honestly whether Spark or another option is best for you.
Neither is best for everyone. Spark is known for clarity and stain resistance; Invisalign is known for versatility. We offer both (plus Angel Aligners), so we recommend the one that suits your teeth.
Most people feel mild pressure for a few days when starting a new tray. It’s usually much milder than the soreness from braces adjustments, and there are no wires or brackets to rub.
Yes. Take them out for contact sports (wear a mouthguard) or when playing an instrument, then put them back in.
Yes. Teeth naturally want to shift back, so a custom retainer protects your results.
