Stacey
Office Manager
Stacey oversees all our office operations including human resources, scheduling, billing, and collections. When it comes to patients, Stacey mainly works with the financial side of their treatment. Whether a patient has a health savings plan, cafeteria plan, or is paying out of their own pocket, Stacey will help them find a flexible payment option which can simplify their orthodontic process. Stacey has two children, Addison and Jack, whom she loves spending time with. She also enjoys reading, playing tennis, and going to the movies. Stacey is an active member and elder of First and Calvary Presbyterian Church, a former Board member of the Springfield Ballet, Missouri Victim's Center, and Springfield Metropolitan Bar Association, and a graduate member of Leadership Springfield.
Julie
Treatment Coordinator
Julie has been a member of the team for over 24 years. During that time, she has had countless responsibilities. When our patients are ready to start treatment, Julie answers any questions they may have about how the treatment process works, what they can expect along the way, and how to schedule each step. Julie takes pride in creating financial contracts and obtaining all paperwork that is needed. Julie enjoys the priceless experience of our patients seeing their new smiles for the first time.
Julie and her husband of 29 years, Doug, have two children, Emma and Ava. The entire family spends a lot of time boating, fishing, and relaxing at their lakehouse.
Kim
Treatment Coordinator
Kim has been apart of the Sharp Orthodontics team for the most part of 28 years. She has had numerous roles and titles over the course of that time, but most fall under the description of a new patient/treatment coordinator. Kim guides patients through their orthodontic treatment from their initial consult to treatment completion. Her bubbly personality and ability to spark conversation with anyone make her hard to forget.
Kim and her husband, Joe, have four children and five grandchildren that they adore spending time with. Kim and Joe recently moved to Kimberling City to enjoy life at the lake. Kim’s hobbies include photography, traveling, and reading.
Shana
Insurance Coordinator
Shana works as our primary insurance coordinator. She works quickly and efficiently to process our patient’s insurance claims, explains each networks unique benefits for each case, and makes sure to get you the most out of your insurance provider for your orthodontic treatment. Shana is also great at all of the administrative duties that come with working the front desk. She is wonderful at helping patients schedule each of their appointments, processing payments, coordinating treatment questions, and so much more. She loves to get to know our patients throughout the process of improving their smiles. Shana shares our team's values of providing excellent care to each and every individual who visits our office. Shana and her husband, Jody, have three children. If she’s not spending time with them, Shana is probably working on a quilt or cooking something delicious in the kitchen. Shana also looks forward to her annual family vacations and exploring new destinations.
Lori
Orthodontic Assistant
Lori has been an integral part of Dr. Sharp’s team since 1998, dedicating herself to enhancing patients’ self-confidence through transformative smiles. Her passion for orthodontics is deeply personal, having undergone treatment with Dr. Sharp herself, which fuels her commitment to patient care.
In her role, Lori excels in various clinical procedures, including the precise placement of braces and clear aligner attachments. She ensures that each attachment is accurately positioned to facilitate effective tooth movement. Lori also provides comprehensive home care instructions, enabling patients to maintain their treatment and achieve optimal results. Beyond her clinical expertise, Lori is instrumental in training new team members, sharing her extensive knowledge. She cherishes building lasting relationships with patients and their families, finding joy in witnessing their excitement throughout their smile transformation journeys.
Residing with her husband, Andy, along with their beloved cat and dog, Lori values quality time with friends and family. She and Andy enjoy traveling together, exploring new destinations. To stay active, Lori enjoys working out and hot yoga to maintain a balanced and healthy lifestyle.
Tracey
Orthodontic Assistant
Tracey loves working in the dental field; it’s what she’s been happily doing since 1985. Joining our team in 2001, Tracey assists the doctors with all procedures and enjoys talking with, explaining, and comforting patients during their visits, as well as getting to know them on an individual basis. Tracey has two beautiful children and two cats. She loves to be outside and enjoys making jewelry as a hobby.
Sara
Orthodontic Assistant
Sara graduated from the OTC Dental Assisting Program in 2005 and is a Certified Dental Assistant with Expanded Functions. She joined our team in 2017. She brings a lot of experience to our team. Sara has worked in both general and pediatric dentistry but has always favored Orthodontics. She has expertise in Invisalign, bracket placement, adjustments and explaining home care instruction and duties include bracket placement, adjustments and explaining home care instructions. She enjoys getting to know our patients and building a relationship with them. During her free time, she loves spending time with her husband, son and dogs and chickens. She also loves crafting and cooking.
Sonia
Orthodontic Assistant
Sonia was raised in California and brings 18 years of orthodontics experience. Now living in Missouri, she is married with three wonderful children. In the office, Sonia is known for her compassionate care, ensuring every patient feels welcomed and comforted. In her free time, she enjoys gardening, art, crafting, and spending time with her family and her babies. Sonia’s dedication to her patients and her positive attitude make her an invaluable member to our team.
Darla
Records Coordinator
Darla is our diagnostic documents specialist, tending to the records of our patients from their first visit to their post-treatment consultations. Darla joined Dr. Sharp's team in 2009. She has been in the dental field for over twenty-five years and is certified with Expanded Functions in Orthodontics. Darla loves helping patients go from feeling self-conscience about their smile to feeling confident in their beautiful smile after treatment. Even after three decades in the dental field, that transformation is still exciting! Darla and her husband, Mark, have four children. They enjoy sailing, exploring the beaches of the Gulf of Mexico, and watching the Razorbacks and the Chiefs play football.
Rebecca
Lab Technician
Since 2018, Rebecca has been a dedicated orthodontic lab technician at Sharp Orthodontics, crafting customized orthodontic appliances that help patients achieve their perfect smiles. After graduating from OTC’s dental program, she quickly found her passion at our office making retainers, palatal expanders, holding arches, and a variety of other appliances. What she loves most about her job is the hands-on nature of her work—each appliance is unique, and she takes pride in contributing to the process and maintenance of our patient’s smiles.
Outside of work, Rebecca enjoys spending time with her husband, TJ, and their three cats, Hiccup, Dex, and Sterling. Her hobbies include sewing, comfy gaming, casual walks, and going to the movies. Rebecca’s attention to detail and passion for her craft make her an invaluable part of the team, bringing both technical skill and a personal touch to everything she does.
Whitney
Dental Monitoring Coordinator
Whitney is instrumental in the remote monitoring aspect of our practice. As Dental Monitoring Coordinator, she helps patients master remote scanning, schedule appointments, and provides an important point of contact for app users. Whitney’s interests include walking her dogs, Mylo and Baloo, painting, traveling and completing house projects with her dad and her husband.
Mia
DentalMonitoring Coordinator/Orthodontic Assistant
Mia has been in the dental field since 2020 and wears many hats to ensure our office runs smoothly. She is an expanded functions certified dental assistant who graduated from Ozarks Technical Community College and holds a Bachelor's degree in Health Services from Missouri State University. Mia is responsible for managing our office's DentalMonitoring application and various social media accounts, helping to keep our community connected and informed through consistent communication and entertainment. When she is not doing either of those tasks, you can find her helping at the front desk or assisting in the back.
Mia loves the variety her role provides. She is always eager to step in where needed and is continuously learning to become a more well-rounded member of the team. Her goal is to help transform the dental experience for each patient, making them feel comfortable and cared for every step of the way. She always strives to bring warmth and expertise to every interaction.
Outside of work, Mia enjoys staying active with workouts at Burn Boot Camp, doing makeup for special events, listening to music, and traveling. She also enjoys spending time with her friends, family, and pets.
Skylar
Orthodontic Assistant
As one of our Orthodontic Assistants, Skylar’s duties include delivering Invisalign trays to patients, assisting with routine braces visits, and explaining home care instructions. She loves building relationships with patients and guiding them on their Sharp Smile journey! Outside of Sharp Orthodontics, she loves spending time with her husband, son and three dogs (Opie, Oakley, and Susie). You can often find her working out, going to sporting events, traveling, and enjoying a range of outdoor activities.
